The Beskidy Mountains consist of mountain groups separated by river valleys made by the tributaries of the Vistula River. Consisting of innumerable caves these mountains reach a height of 900-1200 m the highest being Babia Góra Mt, which is 1725 m in height.

The Beskidy Mountains has hundreds of patients visiting each year for the curative properties of its mineral water springs that are found in abundance. Hence, you will find many treatment resorts all over the Beskidy Mountains where you could treat both your mind and body.

Getting to the Beskidy Mountains is easy once you can get to one of the nearby airports or to the city of Krakow from where the best way to travel would be to hire a car. If you are driving yourself, be careful for the roads are in much need of repair. But the beautiful scenery does distract you to some extent.
