Main square of Sandomierz
Sandomierz is in southeast Poland. A hilltop city, gently cushioned by the confluence of the Vistula and the San- Sandomierz is old world charm in a picture postcard setting. The white walls and the wine red roofs wet with years, and the benevolent church steeples ushers you into the time stopping magic of yore.
The Sandomierz sun, shining in your eyes takes you high enough to miss its stormy past. It is difficult to believe that this haven of bliss was founded in the Middle Ages and was razed to the ground, time and again. Vandalisms by the Mongols and the Lithuanians, Swedish aggressions, annexations by Austria, Russia and Germany, fire, Nazi death camps-Sandomierz has seen it all and survived. With a smile, that persists.
