City hall of Koszalin
Koszalin is in middle Pomerania in northwestern Poland. The city is 15 km south of the coastal resort Mileno. Koszalin is travel friendly with the international highway E-28 (connecting Berlin and Kaliningrad) touching it and the national road number S-11 linking it with the South of Poland. Koszalin Airport has connecting flights with the one in Gdansk, in Warsaw and Berlin. The seaport in Darlowo is only 25 km away from the city.
The imposing Chelmska Hills as background and the waters of Dzierzecinka gently lapping its side, Koszalin is a delight for the nature lover and a treat to the eye. In 2003, in a national contest for Ecology, Koszalin was awarded the title of "Commune friendly to environment". Enticing green cover, architecture of the past, cultural fests of diverse origins - all under a single piece of sky, makes Koszalin an attractive haunt for the wanderer.
